THE ATHLETIC: 2026 NFL Draft picks add new tradition by signing rookie cards on stage
Jeremiyah Love took the newest NFL Draft on-stage tradition as seriously as he could, given the gravity and emotion of the moment on Thursday night. After he took the long walk down the hallway from the green room at Acrisure Stadium and the bro hug and photo op with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Topps pumped out a one-of-a-kind trading card for the new Arizona Cardinals running back in real time.
Love composed himself after his interview with ESPN’s Laura Rutledge and walked to a table to sign his Topps Now football card adding the inscription “My 1st NFL auto(graph).”
“So I tried to sign it the best that I could because it’s a special moment,” Love said. “It’s a once in a lifetime moment. So I took it all in and made sure that it was the best signature that I could possibly write.”
