THE ATHLETIC: Unique Shohei Ohtani and Aaron Judge card that could challenge records heading to auction

One of the most unique and valuable sports cards ever created will be sold soon, as the 2025 Topps MVP Gold Logoman one-of-a-kind autographed card of Shohei Ohtani and Aaron Judge hits the auction block Thursday through Fanatics Collect.

Kevin Lenane, vice president of Fanatics Collect, was almost jumping out of his chair when discussing his excitement about this card and the auction, which ends March 19. He’s typically not one to overvalue a card, but Lenane feels like this one should be held in the same conversation as the famed Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant 2007-08 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection dual Logoman autographed patch one-of-one card that sold for a record $12.9 million last year. That card features an NBA logo patch taken from each player’s game-worn jersey.
