VARIETY: Disney Launches Collectible MLB Trading Cards With Topps, Featuring Disney and Pixar Characters

Disney is getting into the MLB trading card business.

On Sept. 24, the collectibles giant Topps will roll out the Chrome Disney Trading Card Set, a first-of-its-kind collaboration uniting Disney, Pixar and the MLB under one glossy, collectible umbrella.

The release features a 200-card Chrome tech base set spotlighting fan-favorite Disney and Pixar characters, along with inserts ranging from hand-drawn sketch cards to authentic actor autographs. But the headline play is the debut of Mickey Mouse, Goofy and Donald Duck in official MLB trading card form — the first time Disney icons will be suited up in Major League uniforms…
