CLLCT: Formula 1 drivers to wear Topps debut patches

Topps' popular debut patch program is expanding to the grid with cards for upcoming Formula 1 products, the company announced Friday.

Patches will be worn on the back of drivers' helmets during their first F1 race. Patches will be removed afterward and placed into 1/1 trading cards signed by each driver.

According to Topps, the first F1 debut patches were worn by Sauber’s Gabriel Bortoleto and Racing Bulls’ Isack Hadjar.

Topps didn’t immediately announce which product the cards will appear in.

Launched alongside the release of 2023 Topps Chrome Update Baseball, the Rookie Debut Patch program has been one of Topps’ most popular innovations since being acquired by parent company Fanatics.
