As Chief Legal Officer of Fanatics Betting & Gaming, Alex leads legal, regulatory, compliance, and government affairs strategy for the company’s rapidly growing sports betting and iGaming division. He oversees all aspects of the organization’s legal affairs, including commercial and corporate legal functions, litigation, employment, multi-state regulatory engagement, corporate governance, risk management, investigations, compliance operations, and responsible gaming initiatives. 

Alex Joined Fanatics Betting and Gaming in 2021 as VP of Legal and Regulatory Compliance and has held several titles including Senior Vice President Legal and Compliance.  Prior to joining Fanatics Betting and Gaming, Alex was Senior Director Regulatory and Product Counsel at FanDuel, where he worked closely with regulators, policymakers, internal and external counsel, product teams, and senior leadership to spearhead  the company’s growth into one of the most respected sports betting brands in the U.S. Alex began his legal career as an associate in the New York office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.

Alex’s work at Fanatics Betting and Gaming sits at the intersection of gaming, technology, and consumer protection — giving him a unique perspective on both the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of sports betting, iGaming and prediction markets.

Alex is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and Vanderbilt University Law School (J.D. 2016) and resides in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.  Alex is a veteran of the United States Army, where he served in a number of leadership roles as an officer, including leading troops in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
