QA Analyst – Jacksonville, FL

Primary Purpose:

QA Analyst will be dedicated to developing routine tests, designing, coordinating and tracking the testing effort. This position requires strong deductive reasoning, extreme attention to detail, persistence, patience, and creativity. They will work with (IT) Developers, Business Analysts, DBA’s and Product Managers to analyze, develop, maintain, and execute quality assurance testing procedures.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Create test plans and test cases validating application requirements on products developed in .NET, java
  • Design, document and execute test cases, record, document and analyze test results utilizing Visual Studio Team Foundation Server and Microsoft Test Manager
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve project and test issues
  • Identify, confirm, report and manage defects through resolution using TFS
  • Coordinate and perform deployments on a shared QA environment
  • Conduct test case reviews to ensure requirement coverage
  • Perform Functional, Integration and Performance Testing
  • Ensure project milestones and deliverables are met
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with cross functional team members
  • Identify, recommend and document quality assurance and test practices
  • Research tools, methods and technology trends to support testing objectives
  • Report test status to Department and Project management

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities

 Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, IS, MIS or related technology or engineering field or relevant work experience
  • 5+ years QA experience
  • Possess strong Analytical skills
  • Possess strong understanding of web based technology
  • Working knowledge of the agile development methodology
  • Experience or working knowledge of Scrum framework
  • Experience testing and troubleshooting with Microsoft Services and/or Biztalk
  • Proficient with SQL and experience with MS SQLServer 2008
  • Working knowledge of Source control and defect tracking tools: Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, Team Foundation Server
  • Working knowledge of Test Management tool: Microsoft Test Manager
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and Windows environments
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented, thorough and a problem solver
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to organize and work on multiple tasks at the same time
  • Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team environment
  • Self motivated, quick and intuitive learner
